बिलासपुर. भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (आरबीआई) के डिप्टी गवर्नर माइकल पात्रा द्वारा जारी प्रेस विज्ञप्ति पर प्रतिक्रिया व्यक्त करते हुए पूर्व विधायक शैलेष पाण्डेय ने एक पत्र लिखकर कहा हैँ क़ि मैं आर्थिक विकास अनुमानों के संबंध में 14 जुलाई को आपके कार्यालय द्वारा जारी प्रेस विज्ञप्ति का जवाब देने के लिए लिख रहा हूं। हालाँकि हम आशावाद की सराहना करते हैं, हम इस धारणा से पूरी तरह असहमत हैं कि वर्तमान आर्थिक विकास समावेशी है और सभी भारतीयों को लाभ पहुँचाता है।ज़मीनी हकीकत बिल्कुल अलग है. गरीबी, महंगाई और बेरोजगारी हमारे देश को परेशान कर रही है। हमारी आबादी का 15.5% गरीबी रेखा से नीचे रहता है, केवल पिछले वर्ष में आवश्यक वस्तुओं की कीमतों में 6.4% की वृद्धि हुई है, और लाखों युवा बेरोजगार हैं और नौकरी खोजने के लिए संघर्ष कर रहे हैं।हम गरीबी, मुद्रास्फीति और बेरोजगारी से निपटने के लिए एक व्यापक योजना और समावेशी विकास की प्रतिबद्धता की मांग करते हैं जिससे केवल कुछ विशेषाधिकार प्राप्त लोगों को ही नहीं बल्कि सभी भारतीयों को लाभ हो।

Subject: Response to RBI’s Press Release on Economic Growth
Dear Shri Patra,
I am writing to respond to the press release issued by your office on 14 July regarding the economic growth projections. While we appreciate the optimism, we strongly disagree with the notion that the current economic growth is inclusive and benefits all Indians.
The reality on the ground is starkly different. Poverty, inflation, and unemployment continue to haunt our nation. 15.5% of our population lives below the poverty line, prices of essential commodities have increased by 6.4% in the last year alone, and millions of youth are unemployed and struggling to find jobs.
We demand a comprehensive plan to tackle poverty, inflation, and unemployment, and a commitment to inclusive growth that benefits all Indians, not just the privileged few.
